Son, 2006, p 24 Price category: F: Over £30,000 Frank Moss Bennett was a London artist who specialised in painting portraits, genre and historical subjects. Bennett was born in Liverpool. He studied art at St John's Wood Art School, the Slade School, and at The Royal Academy Schools, where he won a gold medal and a travel scholarship. He is best known for his Elizabethan subjects, many of which became well known through calendars and other forms of popular reproduction.
