Augustus William Enness

1876 - 1948

Augustus William Enness studied at the Slade School of Art and the Academie Julian in Paris. He was a landscape painter and worked in oils, depicting many rural scenes of Southern England, especially in Sussex and Suffolk. He also painted Continental views and scenes in the Lake District.
Exhibited: Salon des Artistes, Paris, Royal Academy, Royal Institute of British Artists, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Art
